Schemes For Women: Yesterday i.e. on 12th December, former Chief Minister of Delhi and convenor of Aam Aadmi Party Arvind Kejriwal has announced to start Mahila Samman Yojana for the women of Delhi. Under this scheme, women of Delhi will be given Rs 1000 every month. It has also been promised to increase this amount to Rs 2100 after the elections. Not only Delhi but state governments of different states of India are also running similar schemes for economic benefits for women.
Which includes Maharashtra’s Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana, Madhya Pradesh’s Ladli Brahmin Yojana, Orissa’s Subhadra Yojana and Karnataka’s Griha Lakshmi Yojana. In all these schemes, a fixed financial amount is given to women. This question also comes in the minds of people regarding these schemes, after all, from where do the governments get the money for this. Let us tell you about this.
Budget is decided separately
No state government or central government announces the launch of any such scheme. For this, complete preparation is done in advance. A separate fund is set aside. Only then is a plan started. Like recently the Delhi government has announced the launch of Mahila Samman Yojana for women.

The Delhi government had announced this scheme in the budget session of the year itself. That means the government had already allocated a separate amount for this. Apart from this, funds are also given to the state governments by the central government. The government also uses the funds for the benefit of the citizens of the state. In which various beneficial schemes are also included.
Revenue received from tax is used
Be it state government or central government, the main source of revenue for both is tax collection. For this, the government collects taxes from citizens and businesses. In which taxes like GST and other taxes also increase the revenue. The government uses the revenue obtained from taxes to run welfare schemes for the public.
